A wide range of policy makers and other stakeholders from Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Directorate General of Health Services, Directorate General of Family Planning, different INGOs, NGOs and GlaxoSmithKline Bangladesh were present in the seminar.
Honorable Additional Secretary and Line Director HRM, Mr. Md. Zillar Rahman as Chief Guest, Mr. Azizul Haq, Managing Director of GlaxoSmithKline Bangladesh as Special Guest were present in the seminar and Dr. Mohammed Sharif, Director (MCH-Services) & Line Director (MCRH), Directorate General of Family Planning was the Chair of the session.
Mr. Azizul Haq said that GlaxoSmithKline Bangladesh has initiated GSK-CARE Community Health Worker Initiative as part of our 20% reinvestment initiative as a catalyst of change to improve health care structure in Bangladesh. Government of Bangladesh is operating significant examples to improve health service structures and service delivery in Bangladesh. Mr. Md. Zillar Rahman has encouraged and has pleaded for coordinated approach of NGOs & INGOs to compliment GoB initiatives and health care services. In vote of thanks, Dr. Mohammed Sharif has raised the importance of proper monitoring and supervision of health service delivery interventions in line with GoB MIS & reporting system.
